The Biggest “Catch” When It Comes To Lack Of Convictions Against Child Predators Online
I just came up with a theory and a summation to why there aren’t any convictions against predators, let alone child predators that aren’t Chris Hansen (albeit getting them by a technicality…any of these TCAP decoys were not minors). Chris Hansen got briefly arrested, then released.
But, here’s the biggest catch (if you will)…there are a few things in one that make it borderline impossible to get an actual conviction (accounting for those outside of people on the internet who make content out of and made money off of it):
1. When people make content out of and make money off of situations relating to the grooming of a minor, predation of a minor; Or even the sexual assault of a minor, they don’t actually help the victim get any convictions unless if they didn’t make it content that isn’t made by a Chris Hansen or Tim Ballard-wannabe.
2. They make it needlessly impossible for the victim to come forward more honestly, trivializing any real and honest “effort” (if you can call it that) to get justice for that victim.
3. It doesn’t actually get more and more convictions. If anything, it PREVENTS even the slightest chance of getting one. Because unlike To Catch A Predator (Chris Hansen), you don’t use victims as trauma cash cows (hereby exploiting them for content, no real justice or service to them at all; Or for the sake of our faith in all of humanity and moral code (that for most, would flip on a dime), don’t use minors as decoys at all. None of this gets them anywhere, awareness has lost all meaning.
Call me crazy, but if anyone else gets caught doing that and it turns out that the victim actually did get a conviction and then some against their predator/groomer/pedophile/attacker before these “hunters” came around to talking to her; And this should be asked and stated:
“Wouldn’t it be funny that if it turns out that none of these content creators, farmers, and generators legit cared about any of them? If so, wait and see how they’ll react to their golden opportunity showing and exposing itself for it’s true colors, glory and odors. As much as the people who try to take that exact opportunity.”
